At Minot, your career and ideas have a meaningful impact every day.

To thrive as the Senior Electrical Engineer, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in power distribution and protection systems.
  • Expertise in medium-voltage distribution, protective relaying, and low-voltage switchgear applications.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with flexibility to travel and lead technical discussions with clients and project teams.
  • Experience with the installations of industrial process equipment including experience with interpreting elementary diagrams, is desirable.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Electrical Engineer will include:

  • Lead the design, specification, and analysis of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, MCCs, and protective relays.
  • Perform system studies such as short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, and load flow using SKM Power*Tools.
  • Develop detailed construction documents, one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and procurement specifications.
  • Review vendor proposals and provide technical oversight during procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E standards while collaborating with project teams for safe and efficient solutions.
