• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses and substance use issues, efficiently identifying co-occurring disorders.
• Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices, addressing both mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on skill development in areas such as coping strategies, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.
• Foster interprofessional collaboration by coordinating care with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, ensuring comprehensive treatment strategies are consistently implemented.
• Regularly monitor substance use patterns and apply motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and support clients in their recovery trajectories.
• Educate clients and their families on the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, empowering informed decisions regarding treatment adherence.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards of clinical practice.
• Contribute to ongoing professional development by participating in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions aimed at enhancing skills in treating co-occurring disorders.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily work with clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Your role will be crucial in addressing complex psychological needs while offering tailored strategies that target substance use issues. This comprehensive approach not only aids in recovery but also contributes significantly to our clients' quality of life and overall mental well-being.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
• Proven ability in applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A strong foundational knowledge of the interaction between mental health issues and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated experience in working with individuals facing co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Experience using electronic health record systems to document client information efficiently and securely.
