This position is designed to be entirely remote. All services are conducted through our secure telehealth platform, enabling the delivery of personalized counseling from the comfort of your own home. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, which allows for a balanced work-life integration while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of elderly residents.
• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions to address specific issues such as grief, loss, and the emotional ramifications of aging.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that prioritize the mental health and well-being of geriatric clients.
• Educate staff members and family caregivers on effective communication techniques and strategies to enhance the emotional well-being of older adults.
• Offer specialized support through grief and loss counseling for residents facing end-of-life challenges, providing compassionate guidance to both clients and their loved ones.
• Implement mental health interventions and cognitive stimulation activities aimed at maintaining mental acuity and improving life satisfaction among elderly clients.

The focus of this role is on geriatric clients, many of whom are dealing with complex emotional issues related to aging, significant life transitions, and the challenges of coping with loss. Your work will help seniors navigate these tough phases, ultimately improving their quality of life and emotional health. By providing targeted mental health support, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being of our clients, helping them find resilience in the face of adversity.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
• Demonstrated understanding of culturally sensitive approaches to care for diverse senior populations.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to promote the mental well-being of elderly individuals.

• Experience delivering counseling services remotely, utilizing various telehealth platforms.
• Additional certifications in geriatric mental health or related specialties.
• A track record of successful interventions for elderly clients dealing with depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders.
