Remote 5 Hours A Week information

What is a remote 5 hours a week job?

A Remote 5 Hours A Week job is a position that allows employees or freelancers to work remotely, typically from home, for a total of five hours each week. These roles are ideal for individuals seeking flexible, part-time employment that can fit around other commitments such as studies, caregiving, or another job. Tasks may vary widely, including administrative support, consulting, tutoring, or digital tasks, depending on the employer’s needs. Since the hours are minimal, these jobs often focus on specific, results-driven assignments or ongoing part-time support.

What are some common challenges of working a remote role with a limited schedule, such as 5 hours a week?

One of the main challenges in a part-time remote role is managing priorities and time efficiently, as you have limited hours to complete your tasks. Communication can also be a hurdle, since you may need to coordinate with teammates who are working different hours or time zones. Staying engaged with the team and maintaining a sense of connection can require extra effort, so proactive communication and clear expectations are essential. Additionally, it can be challenging to make a significant impact or progress on long-term projects when your available time each week is limited.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a part-time remote position (5 hours a week), and why are they important?

To succeed in a remote, part-time position, strong self-management, time management, and basic technical proficiency are essential, often supported by relevant experience in the specific job function. Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, or project management platforms like Trello or Asana is typically required. Excellent communication, reliability, and adaptability are soft skills that help individuals excel in a low-touch, flexible work environment. These abilities are crucial to maintaining productivity, meeting deadlines, and building trust while working independently with minimal supervision.

Job description

Position Overview

South Pine Counseling Center is actively seeking dedicated and independently licensed mental health therapists, including Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), to join our dynamic telehealth team. This full-time, remote position provides an incredible opportunity to deliver high-quality mental health services to clients across California while working in a flexible environment that caters to your schedule.

About the Organization

South Pine Counseling Center is recognized as one of the leading teletherapy platforms in the United States. Over the past few years, we have witnessed a growing demand for accessible mental health care, prompting our commitment to connect qualified therapists with individuals who need support the most. Our goal is to increase accessibility to professional therapy through innovative technology, ensuring that our community can receive the care they deserve wherever they are located.

Work Environment

As a fully remote role, you will have the freedom to create your work environment in a way that suits you best. Whether you prefer working from home, a quiet office space, or anywhere else that inspires you, the choice is yours. The nature of our telehealth practice also means that you can set your hours, providing the flexibility of working as little as 5 hours a week or up to 40 hours or more, including weekdays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing therapy sessions with clients via our secure telehealth platform.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in compliance with the organization’s policies.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with our administrative team to minimize paperwork and administrative duties, allowing you to focus primarily on client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At South Pine Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base of individuals who have been screened for stability and low acuity needs. This carefully curated patient population allows you to focus on providing effective support rather than managing crisis situations. You will have the unique opportunity to select up to three specific demographics with whom you wish to work, ensuring that your caseload aligns with your areas of expertise and interest.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current and independent licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psychologist. We are not accepting applications from associates or interns at this time.
  • Proficient in utilizing digital platforms for virtual meetings, including a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client sessions efficiently.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in a telehealth setting is a plus. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, teletherapy tools, or similar modalities will be beneficial. Additionally, demonstrated experience in specific therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We believe in recognizing and rewarding the contributions of our team. The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on the number of hours worked and other pertinent factors. In addition to competitive salary, full-time therapists are eligible for a monthly stipend to support their medical, dental, and vision benefits. We also offer an attractive sign-on bonus that significantly enhances the overall compensation package.

Career Growth Opportunities

At South Pine Counseling Center, we are committed to supporting your professional development. Our therapists have access to ongoing training, workshops, and certification programs that enable you to expand your skill set and refine your therapeutic practices. As our organization grows, you will have the chance to take on advanced roles and share your expertise with other team members, contributing to the overall quality of care we provide.

Why Join Our Team

Joining South Pine Counseling Center means becoming part of a forward-thinking team that prioritizes both therapist satisfaction and client outcomes. Our commitment to harnessing technology in mental health care enables us to reach clients in ways that make therapy both accessible and convenient. The flexible work arrangements and strong support system we offer not only empower our therapists to deliver excellent service but also promote a healthy work-life balance.
