Position:- GIS analyst

Location:- Washington, DC: REMOTE- must be in EST & CST zone

Duration:- long term contract

VISA- no h1-B

This is a Remote role with travel once in a month.

The candidate should have significant experience working with the ArcGIS platform developing and maintaining geospatial data, maps and map layers. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Georeferencing and digitizing real estate agreements and supporting documents into enterprise GIS systems.
  • Interpreting legal descriptions, maps, and design and/or as built drawings to create accurate GIS features.
  • Completing quality control, spatial validation, and attribute review to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Researching/resolving spatial discrepancies by coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Creating metadata, documentation, and linkages between GIS features and source records.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Planning, or a related \with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x, ArcGIS Pro 3.x and extensions,
  • Prior railroad experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
