Nystrom & Family Care Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Your role will encompass several key responsibilities aimed at facilitating trauma recovery:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' trauma histories to inform individualized treatment approaches.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans focused on promoting resilience and recovery, integrating patient preferences and evidence-based practices.
• Utilize therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in processing their experiences.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients develop coping strategies and understanding trauma responses.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services and support to clients during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma effects, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Participate in team meetings, consultations, and professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your compassionate approach will be vital for building trust and encouraging patients to share their experiences, enabling you to guide them toward recovery. Each interaction aims to empower clients, helping them navigate their healing journeys tailored to their unique backgrounds and needs.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts is required.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technological tools.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, strong candidates with less experience will also be considered. Familiarity with trauma-focused therapies and interventions will give you an advantage in ensuring effective outcomes for our patients.
