Job description

The Reconstruction Project Manager holds a vital position in overseeing the production of both single-family and multi-family reconstruction projects aimed at restoring homes for individuals impacted by disasters and aiding their recovery. The restoration industry is fast-paced and demanding, but it is immensely fulfilling to assist those in need and can be financially rewarding for individuals committed to a career in this field. Your success in this role depends on your resilience and motivation to tackle challenges, as well as your organizational skills to manage the pressures of multiple projects with strict deadlines and budget targets. 


***We are seeking candidates who live locally and can commute to Fairfax County daily. We provide a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000, along with monthly bonuses based on completed projects. Total compensation can range from $70,000 to $115,000 per year, including monthly bonuses. ***

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and supervise various construction projects from start to finish.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and insurance adjusters.
  • Keep track of project budgets and timelines while exploring strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Hold meetings with subcontractors to review schedules, necessary permits, and to set clear expectations.
  • Perform regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to building codes and safety standards.
  • Review all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress updates.
  • Identify and address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, proactively implementing solutions to keep projects on schedule. 


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing construction projects.
  • Proven history of overseeing residential construction projects from inception to completion. In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and best practices related to remodeling and home building.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Expertise in project management software and related tools.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to job sites regularly.
