The Nursing Laboratory and Remediation Coordinator is a 9-month full-time faculty role responsible for managing the simulation and skills laboratories that support the Practical Nursing and Associate Nursing programs. This role also provides support for nursing students in theory, clinical, simulation and lab settings to improve comprehension, academic performance, retention, and NCLEX pass rates. The coordinator works closely with nursing faculty to design simulation scenarios, teach clinical skills, provide performance feedback, and deliver targeted remediation across theory, clinical, simulation, and lab settings. This role requires strong clinical expertise, familiarity with simulation technologies, and a commitment to student success.
Required Qualifications: Current, unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in Missouri; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) with a clinical component, or an associate degree in nursing with a willingness to obtain a BSN within 12 months of hire; minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience; current BLS certification; experience with simulation technologies and proficiency in computer/simulation software.
Preferred Qualifications: Broad clinical background, including medical-surgical nursing, medication calculation and administration, simulation, and remediation; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN); simulation certification (e.g., CHSE) or willingness to obtain certification; experience teaching in nursing programs.
