Description
The Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program (Yale PA Program) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Yale PA Program has a long history of educating outstanding clinicians and leaders in healthcare. We seek a dynamic individual interested in joining an innovative, dedicated, and collaborative faculty.
This faculty appointment is in the Section of General Internal Medicine, PA Program at the Yale School of Medicine. This position will focus on innovation and delivery of the pre-clinical curriculum and teach in both the pre-clinical and clinical phases of the program. In person teaching is required in New Haven, CT. Additional responsibilities include: student assessment, remediation, student advisement, scholarship, service, and 20% clinical practice. All faculty collaboratively participate in admissions, strategic planning, curriculum development, and continuous review and evaluation of the curriculum in support of accreditation standards.

Qualifications
Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program (or related medical discipline, i.e., MD or DO) is required.
Minimum 2 years of educating PA students as a faculty member or a clinical preceptor is required. At least 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing PA is also required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum 3-years' experience as a full-time clinician and demonstrated effective teaching experience in the classroom and/or clinical setting.
Current certification by the NCCPA (or ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board) and CT State licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and a strong interest in delivering an experiential, student-focused curriculum.
