About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical contracting—HVAC or plumbing—to lead large-scale commercial construction projects in the Kansas City area. Ideal candidates have experience managing projects valued at $10M+ and are capable of handling multiple projects at once while delivering on budget, schedule, and quality goals. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of multiple commercial mechanical projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage large projects ($10M+), coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, clients, and company leadership to align project objectives.
  • Prepare and review project budgets, schedules, progress reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
  • Mentor and guide junior project staff to strengthen project management capabilities across the team.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC and/or plumbing).
  • Proven track record managing large commercial projects ($10M+ preferred).
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
