Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Engineering 2 (Product Support Technical Integration Manager) to join our diverse team of professionals. This leadership position will be full time in the office and located in San Diego, CA, El Segundo, CA, Palmdale, CA, or Oklahoma City, OK.

This role will support the Product Support EI&E (Engineering Integration and Execution) and lead the Technical Integration team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the priorities between multiple OU (Operating Units), ensuring high quality engineering analyses and logical hand-off from one OU to another OU, talent development and management, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and CAM (Control Account Manager) duties for the team. The Technical Integration team consists of project integrators to ensure the Product Support technical teams are aligned and executing tasks in a timely manner in support of OU schedule and goals. The team also includes specialty technical integrators that manage high-complexity and/or high-risk subsystems as determined by the OU Program Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product Support EI&E Director and OU Program Managers objectives

  • Serve as the technical integration authority on Product Support tasking for the OUs

  • Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to team members

  • Coordinate with other integration leaders across the company to ensure sharing and alignment of best practices

  • Maintain cognizance of shifting industry best practices, procedures, and USG guidance documents to generate opportunities and influence SOWs and ensure Northrop Grumman is a leader in the fields of project management and technical integration

  • Coordinate with other Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Program/Project Management, and other functions as needed to ensure the teams generate high quality and technically sound analyses on schedule for OU task completion

  • Formally present technical status, solutions, risks, and opportunities to leadership and the customer

  • Act as the CAM for technical integration team work packages as needed

  • Support and shape proposal activities

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science Technology Engineering Math) and at least 9 years of related experience in Project Management and/or Engineering or 7 years with Master's Degree in STEM

  • Previous experience driving process changes/improvements and leading multi-functional teams on complex tasks, with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience leading integration across multiple lifecycle phases (Development, Production, Sustainment, etc)

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint

  • Must have an active US Government Secret (with a background investigation completed within the last 5 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain final US Government Top Secret

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active in-scope DOD Top Secret Clearance with S1 or V2 specialaccess

  • Previous experience working with Contracts, Program Management, Risk Issue Opportunities management, and/or government acquisition lifecycle

  • Relevant experience in adjacent logistics support elements such as Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) & Maintenance Planning, Modeling & Simulation (ModSim), Support Equipment Engineering (SEE), Prognostics & Health Management (PHM), Supportable Low Observables (SLO), Obsolescence Management, Training & Training Systems, Technical Data, Support Hardware, Fleet & Field Support, and Product Support Management

  • Demonstrated financial management skills including development and control of program budgets, schedules, Estimate at Complete (EAC), and the ability to recognize and capture program changes

  • Previous U.S. Military experience with operations and/or aircraft maintenance background

Primary Level Salary Range: $119,900.00 - $219,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
