Program Manager

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager (Level K) to join the E-7 Mission Systems (MS) Program Management team in Tukwila, WA or Oklahoma City, OK!

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Advanced E-7 Program within MS. This leadership position will oversee a subset of the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) and provide program management across several key areas, ensuring alignment of engineering efforts with program goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing program execution in diverse mission systems areas such as Sensor Integration, EO/IR, Self Protection, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Mission Computing hardware, and Sensor Performance Analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan. Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functionalproject/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • 1+ year of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Physics
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working on special access programs
  • Experience with early phase development programs through System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for OK: $126,650 - $171,350

Summary pay range for WA: $145,350 - $196,650
