Functions/Responsibility:

  • Preflight and post flight checks
  • Discrepancy repair
  • Safely work in a shop environment using tools and equipment as necessary
  • Complete assigned tasks outdoors and in inclement weather if required
  • Insure that work performed gets inspected by the appropriate inspection personnel.
  • Complete required documentation for work performed
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust and repair aircraft and/or engines as assigned
  • Complete required training as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Use basic computer skills to complete and document tasks
  • Work productively individually or with an assigned crew
  • Works with integrity and desire to maintain a high quality standard
  • Report failures or deficiencies immediately

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe or Powerplant License (Both preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office computer systems

Work Environment & Culture Skills:

  • Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check
  • Understand, read, and write English
  • Reliable, punctual, flexible, motivated, resourceful, energetic, organized, and able to manage and be managed
  • Ability to multi-task, respect, and maintain confidentiality
  • Service oriented and able to work at a fast pace and handle stress and problematic issues well with a good attitude
  • Communicate effectively and work within a team-focused environment

Location:

  • Operation based in Ypsilanti, MI at Willow Run Airport (YIP)
  • There is no ability to work from home
  • There will be no relocation package for this position

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available full-time and work overtime when required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • A Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License Required
  • Preferred 5 years of Part 135 experience
