Job description

Title: Business Analyst
Location: Orlando, FL (2/3)
Duration: 24 months
Compensation: $75 - $81/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Business Analyst
DCL is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the active Workflow Engine Replacement (WFER) delivery effort and potentially transition into ongoing Crew Technology application sustainment. The candidate must quickly step into an in-flight development program, understand existing BPMN workflow designs, and support implementation, testing, backlog management, stakeholder coordination, and long-term enhancement/support needs. BPMN 2.0 experience is required; Flowable experience is strongly preferred.
Role Focus
  • WFER / BPMN Delivery
  • Validate BPMN models, workflow logic, approvals, routing, exceptions, and business rules already in development.

Standard BA Delivery
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, test support, and release readiness.

Sustainment & Enhancements
  • Support production issue analysis, backlog prioritization, change requests, vendor coordination, and future product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and validate BPMN 2.0 workflow models and business processes for WFER and related workflow automation needs.
  • Support workflow design reviews, business rules validation, approvals, routing logic, status transitions, integrations, and exception handling.
  • Gather, document, refine, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for new systems, enhancements, integrations, reporting, and sustainment work.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, assumptions, gap analysis, decision notes, and supporting artifacts.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning support, requirements clarification, business walkthroughs, and delivery checkpoints.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and third-party developers to prioritize work and resolve issues.
  • Support testing activities, including test planning, UAT coordination, defect triage, release validation, and deployment readiness.
  • Track risks, dependencies, blockers, action items, change requests, decisions, and stakeholder communications.
  • Analyze cross-application business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, compliance alignment, and cohesive product delivery.
  • Support ongoing application sustainment, production issue analysis, enhancement intake, business coordination, status reporting, and transition-to-support activities.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile experience: backlog management, story writing, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery support.
  • Experience with complex systems, integrations, vendors, distributed teams, and business/technical coordination.
  • Testing, UAT, defect triage, release planning, deployment readiness, and sustainment support experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.

BPMN / Workflow Skills
  • Hands-on workflow automation, BPM, case management, process orchestration, or workflow modernization experience.
  • Strong BPMN 2.0 experience; must be able to read, interpret, validate, and refine workflow models.
  • Experience joining projects in development or implementation, not only discovery.
  • Ability to analyze macro-level business processes and ensure workflows support a cohesive product outcome.
  • Flowable experience strongly preferred; comparable platforms may include Camunda, Appian, Pega, IBM BAW, or Activiti.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, security/compliance considerations, integrations, and enterprise architecture discussions preferred.

Our benefits package includes:
  • Comprehensive medical benefits
  • Competitive pay
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • ...and much more!
