At Plumbing Systems Inc. (PSI), we believe in doing things the right way - with skill, integrity, and dedication to our customers. We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team and provide exceptional residential and commercial HVAC service throughout our community.

In this role, you'll diagnose and repair HVAC systems, educate homeowners on solutions, and deliver the high-quality service experience that PSI is known for. What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide accurate, long-term solutions.
  • Build trust with customers by clearly explaining findings and recommending the best options for their needs.
  • Educate homeowners on repairs, maintenance plans, system improvements, and replacement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and customer comfort.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, dispatch, and internal teams to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional job sites.
  • Complete invoices, service documentation, option sheets, and timecards accurately.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, trade events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Mentor and support apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Active HVAC license and strong knowledge of local HVAC codes and standards.
  • Proven experience installing, replacing, diagnosing, and servicing HVAC systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Positive attitude with a high-integrity, team-focused mindset.
  • Ability and desire to continue developing technical skills and industry certifications.
  • Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems preferred.

What to Expect on the Job

  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Work in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional on-call rotation.

The pay for this position is $35-$45/hour or more depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus performance based incentives. Other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
