Job description

Job Title- MacOS Software Engineer

Project Location – First Month Have to Be Onsite in Groton, MA/ Houston, TX or San Luis Obispo, CA Hybrid After

Duration- Full-time

Relocation Offered: Yes

  • First two interviews are video, then half-day on-site.
  • The first month on prem in Groton MA company pays all expenses. 
  • After that almost entirely remote sometimes go in office.
  • Most important: Candidates may live in Houston TX or San Luis Obispo CA (client has offices there). 
  • Will pay for relocation.  Unusual, challenging work. 

 Job Description-:They are very picky, but it's a great place to work and people stay for decades.  The best benefits I've ever seen.   

 Must be MAC OS not IOS. 

Must be able to be onsite in northern MA for at least first month, then hybrid work is probable. 

MacOS Software Engineer

Our Northern Massachusetts client is looking for an OS X Software Engineer to join its high-performance development team on a full-time basis. An ideal candidate will have a STEM background and enjoy creating applications for scientific/engineering use.  Recent experience developing on the MacOS platform using Swift or Metal and XCode is important; Objective-C would be helpful.

  • Must have knowledge of scientific or engineering principles.  Development isn't general business-logic and will require strong algorithmic and mathematical skills.
  • Several years of professional experience developing libraries, frameworks and applications for Apple platforms, including multithreading / parallel processing
  • Swift needed; Objective-C very helpful.
  • Cocoa framework, XCode 14/15
  • API Toolkits
  • MacOS Platform experience
  • Good object design and data structure skills
  • Passion for building great UI
  • Strong algorithmic and mathematical skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or BS/BE/BSE would help
  • Experience with Metal, either iOS or MacOS a huge plus
