Position Summary

The Repair Project Manager is responsible for managing residential and commercial reconstruction and repair projects following water, mold, fire, and other property losses. This role oversees projects from initial scope through final completion while ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations are successfully met.

This is a highly hands-on role that combines project management, construction oversight, estimating, subcontractor coordination, customer communication, and field leadership.

The ideal candidate is comfortable both leading projects and stepping into the field to support demolition, repairs, installations, punch work, and quality control efforts when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and complete residential and commercial repair projects on schedule and above industry standards
  • Manage projects from initial walkthrough through final completion and customer satisfaction
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and deliverables in coordination with leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Communicate project expectations, updates, and timelines clearly and professionally
  • Manage multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Identify project dependencies, critical path items, and potential roadblocks proactively
  • Schedule project milestones, inspections, subcontractors, and material deliveries
  • Track project progress, timelines, budgets, and job profitability
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope and develop solutions to maintain project success
  • Write, review, and audit estimates to ensure accuracy and identify deficiencies
  • Perform hands-on field work including demo, repairs, installations, punch work, and job site support when needed
  • Hire, coordinate, and manage subcontractors while negotiating costs and ensuring budget alignment
  • Conduct frequent job site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
  • Order materials and verify timely delivery to support project timelines
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, reports, notes, and communication updates
  • Provide timely updates regarding job progress, issues, and operational challenges to leadership
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response efforts as business demands require
  • Perform additional duties and operational support as needed

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience in construction, reconstruction, restoration, or disaster recovery industries preferred
  • Xactimate and Time & Materials experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of restoration estimating software preferred
  • Project management and personnel leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes
  • Ability to lead teams while also remaining hands-on in the field
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize shifting workloads and deadlines effectively
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills
  • Positive attitude with strong leadership and accountability
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirty
  • Valid Driver's License with safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background screening
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
