Key responsibilities

  • Perform testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of War installations.

  • Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and install electronic components and electrical systems related to fuels accounting, alarm monitoring, leak detection, and control equipment.

  • Coordinate travel to work sites, maintain on-hand components and safety equipment, and communicate with dispatchers, installation teams, and management to ensure proper scheduling and issue escalation.

Job description

Boarhog has an immediate need for an Electronics Technician (ET) - Maintenance, either Level II or Level III, ideally based out of either Indianapolis Indiana or Cincinnati Ohio to cover federally contracted requirements in the Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio areas.
Specifically, this is a highly sought after position as an IAS/ATG/OPS/GVS ET who will be counted upon to work alone or in small teams, performing testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of War installations across the aforementioned states.
This ET will be responsible for the proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment by performing troubleshooting, fault isolation, repairing and installing electronic components and electrical systems, and maintaining organized, detailed records of work performed.
The Level II or Level III ET will be responsible for coordinating travel to work sites, maintaining on-hand components and assigned safety equipment, and acceptable communication with dispatchers, the installation teams, and Boarhog's Director of Modernization to ensure issues are appropriately elevated, the schedule is maintained, and delays are properly conveyed to the client.
The differentiation between the Level II (SCA 23182) and Level III (SCA 23183) is not necessarily tied to years of experience.
