About the Job You're Considering

In this position, the SAP Lead Consultant (Techno-Functional / Data Migration ) will support SAP transformation and implementation projects for Aerospace & Defense clients, with a primary focus on data migration, data quality, harmonization, and business process alignment across complex enterprise environments.

  • The consultant will work closely with client SMEs, business process owners, and project teams to execute end-to-end data migration activities using enterprise data migration tools. This role requires deep SAP expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively within highly regulated Aerospace & Defense environments.
  • The ideal candidate has experience leading data migration workstreams on SAP S/4HANA implementations, understands Aerospace & Defense business processes, and can collaborate across distributed onsite/offshore teams while ensuring delivery quality and compliance standards are met.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to client and contractual requirements in the Aerospace & Defense sector.

Location: Local to or willing to relocate to the Columbia, SC area. 

Your Role
  • Lead and execute data migration activities including data analysis, cleansing, harmonization, conversion, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of enterprise data migration methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing: discrete manufacturing, component manufacturing, complex assemTecbly manufacturing or project-based manufacturing 
  •  Collaborate with client stakeholders to define and validate migration requirements and business rules.
  • Develop and execute migration strategies for SAP S/4HANA implementations and transformation programs.
  • Perform detailed analysis of legacy system data structures and map them to SAP target structures.
  • Design, build, and execute data migration objects, reports, and load programs using SAP and related migration tools.
  • Support data quality initiatives and ensure compliance with industry and client governance standards.
  • Coordinate end-to-end mock loads, cutover activities, and production data migrations.
  • Document migration processes, specifications, mappings, and reconciliation results.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior consultants and migration team members.
  • Communicate effectively with project leadership, functional teams, and client SMEs to manage risks, issues, and deliverables.
Your Skills and Experience
    • 7-10 years of SAP Functional or Techno-Functional experience, including at least 3 full SAP implementation lifecycles.
    • Strong expertise in SAP data migration for one or more modules: PTS, ATR, PTP, OTC, RTR, PLP, DTS
    • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration programs.
    • Proficiency with SAP data migration tools such as Syniti DSP/BackOffice, SAP Data Services, or similar enterprise migration tools.
    • Extensive experience in data quality, data governance, and large-scale enterprise data migration initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of Aerospace & Defense business processes, including manufacturing -(Discrete, Component, Complex Assembly or Project Based), supply chain, maintenance, or project systems processes preferred.
    • Experience working within regulated industries and handling sensitive or controlled data environments.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across distributed teams.
    • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • U.S. Citizenship required.-   Aerospace and Defense Sector 
    • SAP S/4HANA certification or relevant SAP certifications.
    • Experience with Aerospace & Defense ERP transformations.
    • Prior experience leading offshore or hybrid delivery teams.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $88,544 - $250,609

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
