Position Title: Director of Surgical Services


Location: New England Region


Shift: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)


Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $177,000 (based on experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus & Relocation: Case by case


Position Overview:

A well-established acute care medical center is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to oversee perioperative operations across multiple operating rooms, including cardiovascular specialty ORs. The role involves managing diverse surgical service lines and leading clinical, operational, and quality initiatives during a period of organizational transition.


Leadership Structure:

  • Reports to the Administrative Director
  • Direct reports include Certified Nurse Coordinators and key operational staff
  • Manages a team of approximately 65+ FTEs


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure clinical excellence and patient safety through evidence-based practices and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead operational management, including patient flow, scheduling, and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Drive quality improvement, staff engagement, and patient satisfaction initiatives
