FACILITY MANAGER

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

Salary: 120K-150K; Commensurate with experience/education

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Candidate must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain an interim and final security clearance

Job Description: Facility Manager - Life Cycle Logistics Management Analyst III on assigned CPE Ground Headquarters (HQ) programs, with duties as identified below:

  • Provides senior-level logistics expertise.
  • Integrates and plans for the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) in all phases of the sustainment and acquisition processes.
  • Interfaces with ASAALT, AMC, LCMC, CPE Ground, ATEC, AEC, CASCOM, MCOE, and other CPEs and PM on logistics requirements.
  • Establishes and assists in the planning, developing, coordinating, defending and executing all aspects of the CPE/PMs’ Life Cycle Logistics support under the processes of DoD acquisition and sustainment.
  • Produces acquisition logistics documentation in support of the CPE/PMs products.
  • Performs and develops plans and projects, determines needs, investigates and resolves problems, interfaces with other functions and stakeholders, prepares capital assets and operating requests, and manages functional areas.
  • Assists in logistics automation using enterprise planning tools (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, etc.) for acquisition and sustainment operations
  • Directs the activities of a group of applicable stakeholders to conduct focused strategic planning and analysis for all life-cycle management functions

Overview:

The contractor serves as the Facilities Manager for the CPE Ground HQ responsible for the overall, day-to-day interior and exterior maintenance of the CPE headquarters (HQs) building. Maintenance includes managing contracts for office equipment, landscaping, cleaning, and outdoor lighting. Initiate work requests and contact the appropriate contractor(s) to request preventive and routine maintenance of Xerox, Hewlett Packard, and Dell copiers, printers, fax machines, and shredders. Report equipment problems and coordinate with service technicians when repairs are necessary. Submit meter readings and other information as requested. Verify that work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Purchase office furniture, equipment, and supplies. Maintain an accurate supply inventory and ensure supplies remain on-hand. Assist the PEO Hand Receipt Holder in tracking equipment as well as performing annual inventories. Perform duties as the Alternate Physical Security Officer to include key control. Coordinate with contractors and oversee the operation of the relocation, removal, and/or installation of all furniture, equipment, and carpet. Responsible for purchasing, setting up, and maintaining the official flags and colors in the CPE Ground HQs, for VIP visits, and at CPE conferences. Ensure the CPE participates in the Fort Belvoir Recycling Program by making sure all aluminum cans, plastic containers, allowable paper, and printer/copier cartridges are recycled. Provide daily transportation support for senior staff members assigned to the organization and courier duties as required in and around the National Capital Region. Responsible for maintaining two General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles. Calculate mileage, process applications for official government licenses, and submit monthly reports to GSA using Mileage Express. Schedule the use of the PEO-leased GSA vehicles to requesting personnel and coordinate with the Post Transportation Motor Pool for additional vehicle support. Represent CPE Ground at monthly Fort Belvoir Partners' meetings. Inform management of any transportation-related operational issues affecting CPE. Provide administrative/clerical functions to include setting up a variety of office files as well as creating official documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in accordance with established regulations and formats. Accurately record and deliver messages in a timely fashion.

Special Requirements:

  • Equivalent of DAWIA Certification Level III for Life Cycle Logistics
  • Thorough understanding of Life Cycle Logistics regulations and policies including DoD 5000 series, AR 70-1, AR 700-127, and AR 700-142
  • Competency in communication, leadership, logistics automated systems, team management, and risk management
  • Security Clearance: Secret

Experience and Education:

  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree and with >12 years experience of relevant experience
