Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with an industry leader to hire a Maintenance Engineer to support the development and execution of a reliability-focused maintenance program within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in improving asset performance, increasing uptime, and reducing reactive maintenance through data-driven analysis, predictive maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives across complex production systems.
What's the job?
  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies and long-term improvement plans
  • Assess current maintenance practices and drive modernization and standardization efforts across the facility
  • Support reliability of critical equipment including rotating systems, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and bulk material handling assets
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
  • Build and enhance predictive and condition-based maintenance programs (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound)
  • Establish equipment criticality rankings, failure tracking systems, and standardized maintenance procedures
  • Improve computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) data integrity, including asset hierarchies, work planning, and maintenance records
  • Develop and monitor reliability KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Project teams to improve asset reliability and performance
  • Provide input on capital projects, equipment upgrades, and maintainability improvements
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the operation

What's needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of reliability or maintenance engineering experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong experience with CMMS systems and maintenance data management
  • Proven experience leading RCFA/RCPE investigations and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Strong understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies
  • Experience with industrial mechanical systems such as rotating equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, or similar assets
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with multiple stakeholders
  • CMRP, CRE, or similar certification preferred
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing environments is a plus
