Job Summary
The Director of Religious Activities will oversee the design, implementation, and
evaluation of religious education and community engagement programs, primarily
serving Spanish-speaking populations from underserved communities. This role
involves developing culturally relevant spiritual and educational curricula, training
leaders and volunteers, and organizing outreach initiatives aligned with the faith-based
mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership and Curriculum Development
• Design and implement culturally appropriate religious education programs for
children, youth, and adults, emphasizing Christian values and biblical instruction.
• Lead initiatives such as financial literacy education, women's empowerment
programs, and youth discipleship using pedagogically sound frameworks.
• Develop training materials and faith-based curricula in Spanish, using
methodologies that engage diverse learning styles.
2. Community Engagement & Spiritual Support
• Direct programs that foster spiritual restoration, community resilience, and social
integration among immigrant populations from underserved communities.
• Provide spiritual counseling and organize prayer groups, emotional wellness
workshops, and discipleship gatherings.
• Build trust-based relationships with families and local leaders to strengthen faithbased
outreach.
3. Staff Supervision and Leadership Training
• Recruit, train, and supervise ministry leaders, volunteers, and support teams in
alignment with the organization’s vision.
Facilitate regular training for team members in pastoral care, youth ministry,
event planning, and leadership development.
4. Event and Outreach Coordination
• Oversee religious events such as retreats, community service campaigns,
children’s camps, and family workshops.
• Implement large-scale logistics for programs reaching 500 to 1,000 participants,
including budgeting and volunteer management.
5. Strategic Planning and Evaluation
• Monitor program impact using key performance indicators (e.g., attendance,
engagement, satisfaction).
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports evaluating the effectiveness of religious
and educational initiatives.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in religious program coordination or Christian
community development in a leadership capacity with experience in the G12 Vision Model.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute educational programs and spiritual
initiatives in Spanish.
• Experience working with Spanish speaking populations and deep familiarity with
cultural, religious, and social dynamics.
• Strong public speaking and teaching skills in Spanish.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, build teams, and coordinate with institutions
(churches, nonprofits, schools).
