The Process Engineer position is a key contributor to the continuous improvement engineering and plant operations teams.  This position is responsible for improving the plant's operating processes as well as planning and executing capital projects.

  • Bachelors' Degree Engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred) or equivalent in experience required.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or World Class Manufacturing techniques.

  • Experience with Instrumentation systems / programs.

  • Exceptional organization and communication skills.

  • Good computer skills, Microsoft Office applications, with PLC programming familiarization a plus

  • Ability to blend coaching, managing, and recruiting to effectively drive improved results, and strengthen the operation's team.

  • Execute strategic capital projects.

  • Lead teams and direct efforts of contractors.

  • Passion for results and demand for excellence.

  • Process Efficiency: Process modifications to improve product quality, reduce costs, improve reliability, and improve safety. This is a hands-on, continuous improvement position.

  • Collect data, perform trend analysis, and make recommendations to improve or maintain product quality & consistency

  • Work with the Maintenance Engineer to improve PLC capabilities

  • Provide engineering leadership and assistance to operations and maintenance including: establishing operating parameters, developing best operating and maintenance practices, troubleshooting, assist with evaluation of equipment failures and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades

  • Capital projects:  Process engineering support for capital project scope development

  • Provide technical assistance in order to develop and implement Mechanical Integrity /Quality Assurance, and reliability programs for equipment.

  • Identify and test new process equipment, develop flow sheets, write feasibility reports, complete cost estimates, write capital projects, and direct the startup of new process equipment.

  • Additional duties as assigned
