What to Expect:
Working in this integral leadership position you will lead, coach, develop, and motivate supervisors and craftsmen to achieve department objectives in a timely, safe, and environmentally compliant manner. The General Foreman directs maintenance activities to ensure plant assets are maintained in the most effective manner possible while sustaining continuous plant operations
What you will work on:
  • Ensure safety is the number one priority.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS safety requirements (OSHA, state, local and Company)
  • Continually assess the performance, productivity, skill, and weaknesses of team members. Initiate or recommend training or other action as required.
  • Clearly understand procurement policies and work cross functionally to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Champion Reliability Focused Maintenance by driving continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of maintenance.
  • Track KPI's and use them as focus drivers.
  • Execute Reliability Roadmap and track progress.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Union on all issues and requests.
  • Utilize all available resources and exercise help chain when needed.
  • Develop a collaborative relationship with Operations and Engineering.
  • Ensure that predictive anomalies triggered by the reliability group are addressed properly and in a timely manner.
  • Take care of your customer with the following priorities in order of safety, quality, cost, and productivity

About you:
  • 5-7 years of progressively increasing leadership experience in maintenance or engineering within industrial, commercial, or military environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and maintenance concepts and industry technology, project management, reliability practices, financial management as it relates to capital/expense spending, MRO, CMMS, etc.
  • 2 yr technical degree in a Maintenance related discipline or related work experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Must be able to develop direct reports to facilitate career growth.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to success.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
