Overview

We are seeking a Power Systems Reliability & Asset Integrity Engineer to join the Reliability & Asset Management Division (R&AMD) under Power Systems Projects & Technical Support Department (PSP&TSD).

PSP&TSD provides HV Electrical Equipment Specialized technical support to Power Operations. R&AMD is also responsible for administrating Power Systems engineering studies, equipment life cycle management, reliability assessments, equipment failure analysis, digital transformation, maintenance strategy reviews & enhancement to ensure safe, reliable and efficient power supply to all company’s hydrocarbon production & other support facilitates.

Your primary role is to provide support, consultation, guidance and assistance to Power Systems operating areas and projects including engineering analysis and assuring adherence to Reliability & Asset Integrity Management standards.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: 
• Develop a Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) model for the electrical substations and distribution network utilizing MTBF, MTTR, bad actors, etc.
• Apply RCM principles to improve maintenance strategies and analyze equipment performance data, including historical, manufacturer, and maintenance information (e.g, FMECA). In addition to utilize specialized software to model and simulate system behavior, predicting potential failures and improve maintenance schedules. 
• Develop, manage, update and monitor implementation of short and long-term asset management policy, strategy, initiatives and work plans for power system asset and ensure alignment with overall company Strategic Asset Management Program.
• Manage Power Systems owned Substations by deploying Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) Program.
• Administrate Power Systems Signature Based Condition Assessment Program.   
• Develop and manage single point of failure assessment to sustain Power Supply in case of equipment failure.
• Perform Asset failure trending and analysis hence identifying repetitive failures and perform RCA to avoid reoccurrence.
• Utilize SAP Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to document and track unreliability events and reliability improvements opportunities.
• Supervise the documentation and development of asset inventory for each class of assets, asset condition, level of service and performance, risk signature, maintenance strategies, repair/replacement models, financial forecasts, and tactical and work plans.
• Support the development of asset replacement business case.

Minimum Requirements
  • You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industry or Power utility in the field of Power Systems Reliability & Asset Integrity Management working on High Voltage Electrical Equipment.
  • You will be familiar with reliability programs such as (RAM, RCM, RMS, MTBF, Bad actors, etc.) including SAP system or equivalent computerized systems.
  • Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Reliability Engineer (CRE), TapRooT Analyst or 6 Sigma Certification is preferred.
