Location: Columbus, OH/Plano, TX or Tampa, FL

Duration: Contract to hire 4 months

Job Description

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps engineering, Agile delivery, CI/CD, cloud development, and secure software practices and a proven ability to design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable software systems.

Responsibilities:

Apply DevOps engineering techniques and multiple design patterns to deliver solutions.

Use a modern DevOps toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.

Work within Agile methodologies and contribute within a common framework.

Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines with a focus on resiliency and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in DevOps engineering and multiple design techniques.

Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, and cloud development.

Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages.

Working knowledge across software engineering disciplines including analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement.

• Proficient applied experience with SRE concepts

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster administration, workload management, CNI, CSI, security policies)

• Proficient in Docker containerization (optimized Dockerfiles, registries, container security best practices)

• Deep expertise in observability/monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Grafana Tempo, Dynatrace, and/or Splunk (dashboards, alerting, SLO-based monitoring)

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Flux, Spinnaker)

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their container services (EKS, AKS, GKE)

• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tooling (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, CloudFormation), including Terraform scripting

• Hands-on Ansible skills for automation/configuration management in support of reliability and standardization
