Job description

Plant Reliability & CMMS Technician

Do you enjoy solving tough equipment problems, driving PM compliance, and partnering with production to keep output high and safe? If yes, you might be the next Reliability Technician we’re looking for.

Role Snapshot
  • Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance to support all manufacturing operations.
  • Own PM scheduling, spare parts sufficiency, and rapid equipment repairs to sustain maximum production rates.
  • Contribute to a culture of Daily Management and Continuous Improvement.
What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery and controls: DC/AC motors & drives, downstream equipment, chillers & etc.
  • Serve as 1st responder to machine issues; loop in Electrical Engineering for added support when required.
  • Specify, source, and order replacement parts and control components from suppliers.
  • Execute PMs and close Repair Work Orders promptly in the CMMS while ensuring compliance.
  • Support Daily Management directives and initiatives across maintenance and production.
  • Partner with Production Staff to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.
  • Propose and help implement CI projects to improve efficiency and Safety.
Must-Have Skills
  • Proficiency with electrical test tools: voltmeter, ammeter, ohm meter, Megger & more.
  • Understanding of basic machine function and Sequence Of Operations for production equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with NEC, UL508A, and NFPA 79.
  • LOTO procedures; Arc Flash awareness and correct PPE selection.
  • Strong grasp of electrical formulas and mechanical math.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase industrial wiring and power distribution.
  • Experience with AC, DC, and servo drives/motors.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting PLC I/O and networking.
  • Motion experience/training with servo drives and motors.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
Credentials & Background
  • High School / Vocational School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
  • Technician-level experience in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics – Preferred
  • 2+ years in Industrial Maintenance with Electrical Systems and Controls
  • Basic PLC and drive training
  • Plastic process knowledge a plus
Details That Matter
  • Pay Range: $24.50-$35.50/hour plus overtime.
  • Night Shift Schedule: 11:00PM - 7:30AM (Sunday @ 11:00PM - Friday @ 7:30AM)
  • Expect 40+ hours per week, weekends as needed, and on-call duty for repairs and assistance.
