Job description

Duties and Responsibilities (essential duties are italicized)

  1. Machine Maintenance - Oversees the preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvement of all production
    machinery.
  • Creates the preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, reviewing annually, and revising as needed.
  • Performs various daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on the production equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment per schedule.
  • Performs repairs on production equipment, as needed.
  • Coordinates and oversees repairs that require outside technicians
  • Ensures that downtime for production equipment is minimal and during off-use hours.
  • Ensures all equipment is OSHA compliant.
  • Properly and timely documents adjustments and preventive or reactive maintenance.
  • Oversees the installation of any new equipment
  • Identifies, plans, and implements process improvement opportunities for the machinery.
  • Adjusts the machines as necessary to maintain the productivity on the machines, managing to the manufacturing equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) specs defined.
  • Ensures Techs maintain the spare parts and maintenance workbench and tool carts in order, clean, and safe.

2. Facility Maintenance - Oversees the preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvement of the facility.

    • Manages waste disposal, properly documenting.
    • Performs various daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on the facility.
    • Performs preventive maintenance on appropriate facility equipment, per schedule.
    • Performs repairs on facility, as needed.
    • Coordinates and oversees repairs that require outside technicians.
    • Ensures that downtime for facility components is minimal and during off-use hours whenever possible
    • Ensures facility is OSHA and ISO compliant.

    3. Maintains familiarity with quality management system documentation for ISO13485 and 21CFR requirements and its applicability to the machinery and facility.

      • Leads and supports continuous improvement projects
      • Supports new employees on the proper training of machine and facility maintenance.
      • Support the safety committee to ensure all the guidelines and regulations are being followed.
      • Performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
      • Attends Scheduled Meetings
      • Signs off on Team Members' time sheets by 5pm on the Monday of each payweek.
      • Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting delivery deadlines.
      • Provides excellent service.
      • Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
      • Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
      • Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurs during the prior 12 month period.
      • Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
      • Performs all other duties as required.

      Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

      • 2- 4 Year Engineering or Technical degree preferred
      • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
      • Maintenance and Reliability Certifications highly desired such as CMRP, CRM, CMRT, CRE
      • Minimum of 5 years’ facility maintenance experience.
      • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
      • Minimum of 5 years’ hands on production machine maintenance experience.
      • Excellent understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes.
      • Mechanical skills needed to perform maintenance and must have proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques.
      • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts.
      • Able to read/comprehend instructions given through electronic/mechanical instruction books, including electric, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.
      • Experience implementing or maintaining equipment and facilities based on ISO9001 or 13485.
      • Fluently speak, read, and write English.
      • Skilled in time management.
      • Skilled in multi-tasking.
      • Good administrative skills and ability to proofread for accuracy and spelling.
      • Demonstrated customer problem solving skills.
      • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
      • Ability to learn and perform primary functions of positions within department.
      • Ability to manage stress.
      • Ability to meet physical demands of the job with include, but are not limited to: walking; bending; pushing; pulling; sitting for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer, phone and headset; and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 45 pounds
      • Position spends approximately 100% of time moving about the production area including walking, standing, sitting, squatting, reaching, twisting, and turning. Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
      • Must work from the Arlington office and be able to work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours. Must be available for evening/weekend work as needed.
      • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to production equipment at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

      This position is salaried at a pay range of $83,630-$112,000 DOE. The Maintenance Manager Arlington is eligible for 5% annual bonus potential. This position is onsite at our Arlington facility.
