Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Staff Engineer, Reliability located in Houston, TX.

We are seeking a high-performing Staff Engineer - Reliability with strong expertise in RAM (Reliability, Availability & Maintainability) modeling, reliability assessments and Equipment Criticality Analysis (ECA) to join our Reliability team supporting LNG operations. This role will focus on performing RAM and Ad-hoc Reliability studies, supporting in Equipment Criticality Analysis workshops and report development and reliability data collection. The position requires periodic travel to our two operational LNG Plants in Louisiana.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Equipment Criticality Analysis (ECA):
    • Review P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and process information.
    • Support and co-facilitate ECA workshops with cross-functional teams at LNG plants.
    • Assist in consolidation of criticalities from ECA workshops and Process Safety reports, post-population of criticality rankings, and report development.
  • RAM Modeling & Simulation
    • Extract equipment and maintenance data from engineering documents and databases.
    • Develop and run RAM models for LNG Plants in DNV MAROS or similar software.
    • Evaluate design and operational scenarios (redundancy, spares, maintenance strategies).
    • Translate model outputs into business-impact insights.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and process alignment.
    • Support Ad-hoc reliability assessments and reliability improvement initiatives.
    • Travel to LNG sites in Louisiana as required for data collection, workshops, and field validation.

Qualifications

Required experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in process industries.
  • Reliability Certification is desirable (e.g. CMRP, ASQ CRE).
  • Strong hands-on experience in RAM modeling and reliability analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Reliability tools (e.g., DNV Maros, Relyence, Weibull)
  • Knowledge of standards like IEEE 762, ISO 14224, or ISO 20815.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred) and data handling tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills.
