Warner Robins, GA 31088-7810Job Details:Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), a research institute of Mercer University, provides high quality engineering, scientific, and technical support services to both government and private industry customers. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reliability Analyst in support of the Aircraft Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for the collection, development, and analysis of maintenance data as well as the production of daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term reliability analyses. Will lead reliability investigations and provide technical recommendations on systems, structural, and avionics. These investigations will address reliability improvements, maintainability assessments, aging aircraft evaluations, and other pertinent information. Performs assigned duties and responsibilities with guidance from the chief engineer or technical lead. Reports to the Chief Logistician.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibleforleadingindividualandteameffortspertinenttoreliabilityandsustainmentprogramsfocusedonaircraftandgroundequipmentcoatingsand/orcorrosionprevention.

Appliesanddevelopsresearchtechniquesandexpertisetoperformassignedtasksandparticipateswithteamsintheevaluationofmaintenanceandtechnicaldata,gatheringoffieldmaintenanceissues,identifyingtrends,determiningsystemreliabilityandavailabilityofcomponents,andrecommendingchangestothetechnicaldataandscheduledmaintenanceprogram.

Investigatesandcoordinateswithengineeringtodeterminerootcauseoffailuresandpossibleresolutionstoincreasecomponentandsystemreliability,reducemaintenancecostsandincreaseaircraftavailability.

Responsibleforensuringtasksareaccomplishedwithincost,schedule,andperformancerequirementsoftheworkeffort.

Demonstratesexcellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills.

Mayprepareandpresentformalandinformalbriefings.

ComplieswithallExecutiveDirectorapprovedMERC-widepoliciesandprocedures.
