Position Summary:
The Marketing Intern supports the growth and brand visibility of SVN | Wood Properties by executing digital marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and maintaining our online presence. As we do not have a dedicated marketing department, this role offers a unique opportunity for a creative individual to take ownership of our voice across social media, email, and the web. This role works closely with leadership to ensure our listings and services are showcased with the high standards our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Social Media Management
    • Highlight new listings, company news, and industry insights.
    • Create, schedule, and monitor content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Content Creation
    • Draft blog posts and property spotlights for the company website that reflect our local expertise in East Tennessee.
  • Email Marketing
    • Create monthly newsletters and market updates using our email platforms
    • Design and execute email blasts for listed properties, closings, and awards
  • Graphic Design
    • Utilize Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to produce professional flyers, social graphics, and digital brochures for commercial properties.
  • Brand Consistency
    • Assist in ensuring all outgoing materials align with SVN | Wood Properties’ core values
      and brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms (e.g., professional for LinkedIn, engaging for Instagram).
  • Creativity & Design: An eye for layout and aesthetics; experience with Canva or basic graphic design tools is highly preferred.
  • Self-Management: As a "department of one," the ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and take initiative without constant supervision is vital.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with social media management tools. Experience with WordPress or email marketing software is a plus.
  • Education & Experience: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business.
What Success Looks Like in This Role:
  • Social media and website content are consistently updated, professional, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Property listings are marketed with compelling copy and polished visuals that drive engagement and inquiries.
  • Email campaigns and newsletters are executed on schedule with strong open and click-through performance.
  • Marketing materials are cohesive, visually appealing, and reflect the company’s core values.
  • Projects are completed independently, on time, and with measurable growth in audience reach and visibility.
