Job description

The Public Relations Intern for the Center for Student Engagement assists in the overall vision and implementation of purposeful marketing that is intentional for our community (primarily students, but includes faculty, staff, administration, and third-party vendors). The Public Relations Intern will provide a working knowledge of or the ability to learn either marketing design software or web-based marketing and design programs. The individual will creatively design, critique, and implement marketing for entire office programs and services.

The duties will include:

  • Adding and maintaining the department's social media presence and pages (including Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Create the template and material for a weekly newsletter that is sent out to over 2,000 recipients
  • Creating and curating engaging content
  • Approving marketing designs submitted by student organizations and departments
  • Following brand standards for the university when creating content, posts, presentations, etc.
