Agave is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory and Materials Coordinator to support inventory management and purchasing activities.

This role is responsible for managing non-stock inventory items, monitoring inventory levels, receiving and labeling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the purchasing process to ensure materials are available to meet operational requirements.

WHAT we need you to do.

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Relabel materials as necessary to ensure proper identification and inventory control.
  • Manage inventory for non-stock items not included on Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities to prevent shortages.
  • Create purchase orders for materials and supplies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Submit purchase orders for approval and coordinate with Purchasing as needed.
  • Track open purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and purchasing personnel to ensure material availability.
  • Assist with organization and management of inventory storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate receiving and inventory documentation.
  • Identify and resolve inventory-related issues and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, material flow, and inventory control processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT you need to possess.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in inventory control, materials management, purchasing support, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and purchasing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify inventory discrepancies and root causes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, walking, and working in an office and/or warehouse environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
