Job Description Summary:

The Rehabilitation Technician works under the supervision of licensed rehabilitation staff professionals to assist the licensed professional in therapeutic interventions and routine patient care. The rehab tech assists in maintaining orderly operation of the rehabilitation department.

Responsibilities And Duties:

85%
Direct and indirect patient Care The Rehabilitation tech may be assigned routine duties that assist in the delivery of therapy care and operations, such as: 1 Maintenance and care of equipment and supplies; 2 Preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of treatment areas; 3 Transportation of patients; 4 Taking care of patients personal needs before, during or after treatments; 5 Assisting in the construction of adaptive equipment and splints; 6 Delivery and/ or dispensing of equipment &/or therapy supplies or materials. 7 Assisting patients preparing for, during, and at the conclusion of treatment such as changing clothes, assisting during transfer, and altering position during treatment t ; 8 Personally assisting the therapist, therapist assistant, student therapist, and/or student therapist assistant while the therapist, therapist assistant, student therapist, and/or student therapist assistant is concurrently providing services to the same patient. Non-Patient Care Tasks: 1 Clerical, secretarial, and administrative activities. 2 Assist in the onboarding, orientation and training of new techs, staff, volunteers and students. 3 5% Department Functions 1.
