Description:
The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions to ensure software quality and reliability. This role involves creating automation scripts, prioritizing test scenarios, developing execution plans, performing functional and regression testing, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop automated test scripts to execute testing functions efficiently.
Determine test priorities and create execution plans for automated and manual testing activities.
Coordinate and/or perform work on software testing and programming projects, including highly complex and large-scale initiatives.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test environments.
Perform functional, application, integration, and regression testing activities.
Analyze proposed applications and enhancements for inclusion in software regression suites.
Review, analyze, and revise software to improve efficiency and support new business processes.
Prepare detailed analyses, test strategies, execution plans, diagrams, and verification procedures for existing and proposed applications.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to validate requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
Support customers and stakeholders during testing cycles and defect resolution activities.
Maintain testing documentation and ensure alignment with project and organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience designing automated tests and creating automation scripts.
8+ years of experience prioritizing test scenarios and developing test execution plans.
8+ years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments.
8+ years of experience performing functional, application, and regression testing.
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies.
Ability to interpret business and technical requirement documents and update test documentation accordingly.
Strong analytical, planning, and management reporting skills.
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of customer business processes and operational requirements.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
2+ years of experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and associated documentation templates.
Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.
Understanding of existing and planned software technologies, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure components.
Experience working within large-scale enterprise application environments.
Education Required:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
