Job description

Department: UHC: FMG/UHC Registration

Job Summary: The Trainer-Registration position works under the direction of the Registration Director and Supervisor. Manages orientation, coaching and ongoing training processes. Train in customer service, departments systems, and processes. Develops training and resources in collaboration with the departments management team to improve processes and reduce or eliminate errors. Consistently engages in whole person care and coaching activities that support and encourage staff to take focused actions. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred. Minimum of two years of customer service experience, healthcare experience preferred, or minimum one year or medical office experience with Receptionist vocational training required. Minimum two years of experience in medical office practice required. Medical Terminology experience required.
Knowledge and Skills: Must have pleasant and courteous voice and manners. Effective teaching and coaching skills. Ability to use word processor and computer and operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment. Must be able to type 35 +WPM. Ability to work well with and motivate others.  Possess excellent listening, communication and teaching skills; approachable.  Excellent verbal and written skills; able to communicate on the telephone; ability to deal exceptionally with people.  Must have positive, friendly public relation skills. Analyze and interpret data, problem solve, attention to detail.  Must have the ability to be flexible to a variety of tasks.  Must be well organized.  Must be able to prioritize work with strong decision-making capabilities. Visual acuity of 20/40 with correction; ability to hear and communicate clearly over the phone and in person.
