Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Communicates in a "customer oriented" professional manner to assist our patients, visitors, associates and other customers. Performs all duties utilizing the best possible customer service. Operates the telephone switchboard in order to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls; performs various hospital communications and clerical duties; acts as hospital receptionist as needed.
Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients after hours, on weekends, and holidays. Ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of appropriate hospital policies and procedures. Puts forth the best effort to ensure an attitude of teamwork in all areas of admitting and registration.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or the equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and understand English required. Two year's related experience in a health care facility preferred. Knowledge of basic office procedures/equipment and computer systems and software required. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required, including ability to tactfully deal with the public in all types of situations such as level of service and financial responsibility. Ability to organize and prioritize projects.

• Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
