Job description
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., chest, skeletal, fluoroscopy) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Properly position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
- Ensure radiation safety by using protective measures and adhering to ALARA principles.
- Verify patient identification and procedure orders before performing exams.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring they meet quality standards for interpretation.
- Follow proper protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure accurate, timely exams.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort.
- Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures as needed.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Stay current with continuing education, licensure, and certification requirements.

Required:
- EDUCATION: Associate's degree or higher of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Registered with the ARRT within 6 months of graduation
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
