Job Description
The Junior RA role provides entry level, on-site support as a Registration Authority for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J6 C4E supporting the DoD's Public Key Encryption/Infrastructure (PKE/I) implementation. As a Registration Authority, the candidate's duties will include providing specialized expertise to assist Registration Authority (RA) personnel in the creation of NIPR and/or SIPR PKI tokens, and interfacing with Trusted Agents for Token request, distribution and unlocking PINs.
Education and Background
  • 1-3 years' experience in Information Assurance / Cybersecurity
  • 1-3 years' experience in technical positions focusing primarily on DoD or Federal PKI or PKE
  • 1-3 years' requirement identified can be concurrent and/or overlapping
  • 0-1 years' experience as Registration Authority / Key Recovery Agent (RA/KRA) on NIPR and SIPR

  • Monitor Registration Authority (RA) Operations in accordance with DoD PKI RA-LRA CPS, DoD Registration Practice Statement (RPS), and internal Joint Service Provider (JSP) processes and procedures to ensure RA Operations are aligned with DISA audit requirements.
  • Outstanding customer support and knowledge transfer
  • Issuance of Non-Person Entity (NPE), user, admin, group, role, VIP, and mobile code-signing certificates
  • Support revocation, suspension, and restoration of a certificate on Unclassified and/or Classified networks
  • Support registration and/or termination of RAs and Trusted Agents (TAs)
  • Perform third party key recovery
  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
