Executive Narrative: The Regional Vice President (RVP) for Water & Energy Services is the senior regional leader responsible for shaping, scaling, and sustaining GWT's presence, performance, and influence across a defined geographic region. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, market leadership, financial performance, and organizational development within the Water & Energy Services vertical.

The RVP is accountable for translating GWT's national vision for Water & Energy Services into regional reality. This includes defining where and how the business grows, strengthening GWT's position in key markets, developing long-term client and partner relationships, and ensuring that the region operates as a disciplined, high-performing, and scalable platform.

Unlike purely operational leadership roles, the RVP operates with a forward-looking mandate. They anticipate market shifts in water treatment, energy optimization, sustainability, and regulatory environments. They identify emerging opportunities in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, data centers, and commercial real estate. They ensure that GWT is not only responding to client needs but actively shaping the future of Water & Energy Services within the region.

The RVP is also the primary steward of regional financial performance. They own regional P&L outcomes, margin expansion, and revenue quality. This includes balancing growth with profitability, optimizing service mix, improving contract economics, and ensuring that GWT's technical solutions and service models generate durable value for both clients and the company.

From a leadership perspective, the RVP is responsible for building and evolving the regional leadership team. They develop District and Territory Managers, identify future leaders, establish succession pathways, and set the cultural and performance expectations for the Water & Energy Services organization within their region. The RVP ensures that GWT's values, standards, and operating principles are consistently embodied across districts and territories.

In essence, the RVP is responsible for ensuring that Water & Energy Services in their region operates not as a collection of individual territories, but as a cohesive, strategically positioned, financially disciplined, and talent-rich regional platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth and Market Leadership

Define and execute regional growth strategy aligned with GWT's national objectives.

Identify market expansion opportunities, strategic accounts, and industry partnerships.

Strengthen GWT's regional brand presence and influence within the water and energy ecosystem.

Lead regional initiatives including new market entry, service expansion, and acquisition integration.

Financial and Business Performance

Own regional P&L performance, margin improvement, and revenue quality.

Drive pricing discipline, service mix optimization, and portfolio management.

Evaluate district performance and intervene proactively when results deviate from targets.

Leadership and Organizational Development

Lead, mentor, and develop District Managers and senior leaders.

Establish leadership standards, succession planning, and talent pipelines.

Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Client and Partner Relationships

Maintain executive-level relationships with key regional clients and partners.

Lead contract governance and strategic account reviews.

Represent GWT at industry events, executive forums, and strategic engagements.

Enterprise Alignment

Serve as the regional interface with corporate leadership, finance, operations, HR, and technology.

Champion adoption of GWT systems, processes, and best practices.

Translate industry trends into actionable regional strategy.

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Integration

Partner with senior leadership to identify and evaluate acquisition and partnership opportunities within the region aligned with GWT's Water & Energy Services growth strategy.

Lead regional post-acquisition integration of people, clients, and operations to ensure continuity of service and retention of key talent and customers.

Align acquired teams with GWT's operating model, technical standards, organizational structure, and performance expectations.

Oversee the transition of client relationships, contracts, and service programs to GWT standards, minimizing disruption and attrition.

Collaborate with District Managers and corporate functions to realign territories, staffing, and leadership structures following acquisitions.

Identify and mitigate regional integration risks related to people, clients, systems, and operations, reinforcing GWT's culture and service standards across the region.

Qualifications:

18-25+ years of experience in water treatment, industrial services, or related industries.

Demonstrated success leading multi-district or multi-market organizations.

Proven P&L leadership and strategic growth execution.

Strong leadership, financial acumen, and market insight.

CWT designation preferred.

Work is performed in a combination of office environments, client facilities, and industrial settings including mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, manufacturing facilities, healthcare environments, and commercial buildings. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability outside standard business hours to address critical client, operational, or leadership needs. Overnight travel is required periodically depending on geography, market activity, and organizational priorities.

Physical Requirements: While primarily a leadership role, the Regional Vice President may occasionally be present in industrial and mechanical environments. The position requires the ability to walk, stand, and move within client facilities, travel extensively by automobile and air, and utilize standard office technology. The role may involve limited lifting and carrying of equipment or materials up to approximately 25-50 pounds on an occasional basis when visiting client sites or supporting field activities. Access to industry-leading training, leadership development, and mentoring programs designed to foster long-term career success.
