Location:Indianapolis, IN

This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Summary

Responsible for providing strategic leadership for provider engagement, unit cost management and contracting for Indiana market with a benefit spend of at least $500 million, including local cost of care and trend management, provider contracting, implementation and local oversight of all types of payment innovation programs, and provider relations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Delivers competitive cost of care trends for Indiana market.

  • Develops provider networks that provide a competitive advantage.

  • Aligns contracting strategy with medical management strategy.

  • Integrates quality metrics and incentives into contracting process.

  • Serves as Healthcare Networks local single point of accountability for all product lines.

  • Facilitates the implementation of local system and product consolidation efforts.

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards as it relates to the efficacy of the provider networks.

  • Collaborates with Product Development to recommend and implement innovative benefit plan designs focused on affordability and simplicity.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Position Requirements

Requires BS/BA in business administration or related healthcare field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare operations, finance, underwriting, actuary, network development and/or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • Excellent contracting, analytical and negotiation (listening) skills needed.

  • Proven strategic provider partnership experience.

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining meaningful relationships both internal to the organization and external client facing.

  • Experience in the Indiana health insurance market.
