Position Overview

Valiant Residential is seeking a Regional Vice President of Operations (RVP) to join our incredibly talented team. The RVP will oversee an extensive portfolio of apartment communities and will direct the Regional Supervisor team. The RVP ensures financials, operating and compliance operate at levels which meet residents and team members' needs. The RVP must be success driven, a strong team leader, and an operational subject matter expert. The RVP must be an expert at building strong teams to support a growing portfolio of apartment communities. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years multi-Family property management experience, 4+ years as a Regional VP of Property Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing Regionals Supervisors to ensure deliverables are produced in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Meet short/long term objectives through effective business processes and leadership
  • Manage large volumes of data to develop in-depth analysis of property performance. Utilize data to create actionable insights for business operations
  • Provide comprehensive direction for all property operations within assigned portfolio, ensuring that the Company and/or Owner's financial and business objectives are being achieved
  • Review portfolio performance, evaluating marketing, leasing, pricing and financial strategies
  • Administers the approved annual regional budget of income and expenses in accordance with all Company requirements
  • Monitors the status of the operating budget
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with business reports, plans and budget
  • Maintain liaison relationship between owners and portfolio management team
  • Provide guidance and direction to portfolio and maintenance supervisors with employee and resident conflict resolution
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and retention, ensuring consistency with established Valiant Residential standards and expectations
  • Monitor internal and external customer service quality including residents, vendors, and owners
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with Valiant Residential safety and cleanliness policies, partner with Regional Supervisor, Property Managers and Lead Maintenance in resolution of outstanding issues
  • Review and approve monthly discretionary and/or annual bonus and commission expenses
  • Advising Regionals Supervisors and property managers on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, and the like; ensuring managers and supervisors comply with company policies and administering practices in fair and equitable manner
  • Hiring, training, developing, and appraising staff effectively; taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies 
  • Keeping up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance. 
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years multi-Family property management experience, 4+ years as a Regional VP of Operations
  • Strong understanding of real estate operations as it relates to management of individual assets, office operations, personnel management, budgeting and planning 
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing a team of Regional Property Managers and property operations 
  • Knowledge of industry, human resources laws and regulations, and employee relations skills 
  • High overall computer proficiency, and Yardi 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company 
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related major, or equivalent combination of education and experience
