Job description

JETSET Pilates is a modern, music-driven Pilates brand redefining the boutique fitness experience.
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the studio, leading a high-performing team while driving operational excellence, membership growth, and an exceptional client experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines business management with active instruction and community engagement.
General Managers are expected to complete the JETSET Instructor Training Academy Program, teach an average of 6-8 eight classes per week, and maintain an active in-studio presence during a minimum of 25 class times per week.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop instructors and Studio Leads.
  • Recruit and onboard new team members as needed.
  • Provide consistent feedback and conduct regular performance conversations.
  • Foster an engaging and accountable team culture.
  • Identify and develop future leaders through coaching, mentorship, and succession planning.
Studio Operations & Member Experience
  • Own daily studio operations.
  • Ensure exceptional hospitality and client experience.
  • Manage class & staffing schedules.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring the studio remains clean, safe, stocked, well-maintained, and consistently aligned with brand standards.
  • Resolve client concerns promptly.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
Sales & Business Performance
  • Own studio performance across memberships, utilization, retention, payroll, revenue, and expenses.
  • Analyze KPIs and implement action plans.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve member retention, utilization, referrals, and recurring revenue.
  • Coach team members on consultative selling, membership upgrades, renewals, and client retention.
Community Engagement
  • Build relationships within the local community.
  • Develop ongoing community partnerships that drive awareness, referrals, member engagement, and long-term growth.
  • Support social media and community partnerships.
  • Represent JETSET as a brand ambassador.

Financial & Business Partnership
  • Monitor financial performance.
  • Provide regular business updates to ownership.
  • Recommend operational improvements.
  • Ensure accountability for profitability, payroll management, expense control, and overall studio performance.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
You'll be successful in this role if you:
  • Are energized by growing memberships and creating an experience that keeps clients engaged and coming back.
  • Enjoy coaching, motivating, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Take genuine pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and creating a welcoming client experience.
  • Are results-driven and comfortable taking ownership of financial and operational performance.
  • Value consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail in maintaining a polished, brand-aligned studio.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
As JETSET continues to expand, General Managers may have opportunities to mentor new leaders, support new studio openings, oversee multiple studios, and advance into multi-unit leadership roles.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of operations or general management experience, ideally in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a luxury membership-model consumer service environment
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams - ideally across multiple locations or in a pre-opening context
  • Demonstrated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit - you take initiative, solve problems proactively, and thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written
  • Strong sales instincts with experience driving revenue targets and coaching others to do the same
  • Highly analytical - comfortable building reports, interpreting data, and making decisions backed by metrics
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing momentum or attention to detail
  • Outstanding communicator who genuinely connects with people and makes every client and team member feel seen and valued
  • Hands-on experience in a fitness instruction or coaching capacity is strongly preferred
  • Passion for community building and an understanding of the local wellness, fitness, and hospitality community is strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to commit to travel for a 5-day instructor training at one of our Regional Training & Support Centers
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the studio for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Complimentary or discounted JETSET Pilates classes
  • Professional development opportunities

*Additional benefits-including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks-may be offered depending on the studio location
$70 - $70 a year
