Job Description
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Profession: Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Duration: 12 months
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour
Hours per Shift: 08:30 - 17:00
Experience: Minimum 2 years required.
License: State license required.
Certifications: BLS, ARRT R required.
Must-Have:
1. Candidate must have experience scrubbing and circulating a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.
2. Experience with Phillips Flex Arm C-Arm and Siemens Artis Pheno C-Arm is preferred.
Description:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
The workplace consists of 1 interventional radiology suite, 1 hybrid OR room, and 1 multi-purpose room.
Support is provided for interventional radiology and vascular surgeons.
Daily census averages between 15-20 patients.
Floating within the facility may be required as needed.
Weeknight and weekend call duties will rotate among staff.
If a major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveling candidate is expected to work.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Candidates will be clinically reviewed to determine the fit for the position.
Skills in 3D imaging, accessing/managing ports, and performing various interventional procedures are preferred.
Experience with Epic and Pyxis systems is advantageous.
Candidates are expected to maintain a sterile field during procedures.
The candidate must be willing to assist in a variety of procedures including but not limited to angioplasty, embolization, and catheter placements.
Compliance with onboarding and core items is necessary before starting the assignment.
All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
Candidates should be aware of the requirements for holiday time off as well.
