Essential Functions
Is knowledgeable of all major job functions of Interventional Technologist and Interventional Nursing Staff and is able to perform a variety of job duties in the area.
Works with Radiology administration on planning, organizing and directing Diagnostic Radiology operations and ensuring compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.
Makes daily observation of department to judge effectiveness of operation, utilization of personnel and supplies and general ethical and professional atmosphere. Carries on continuous evaluation and audit of service line.
Establishes and maintains standards of performance for area, updating standards as necessary to improve service line.
Assists in preparing budget for personnel and operating expenses. Responsible for meeting operational budget, providing justification for any monthly variances.
Communicates appropriately and clearly to physician, staff and administration.
Participates in Human Resource management function for department by coordinating the selection, promotion, orientation and performance appraisal processes.
Promotes intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships.
Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities for Vascular Interventional Radiology.
Education, Training, and Experience
Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology. Minimum of three years of radiology experience post ARRT.
Other Job Requirements, Licenses, Certifications
Registered (current, valid) ARRT.
