Job Description:
Job Title: Product Manager, Regional Product & Innovation
Location: United States
Reports to: Director, Global Product Innovation & Technology
Travel: Up to 30%
The key responsibility of the Product Manager, Regional Product & Innovation, is to lead or support key product innovation initiatives including:
  • Product VOC: lead and coordinate product voice of customer including customer advisory boards, design councils, product demonstrations, new product development VOC validation and drive standards for the collection, aggregation, analysis and action tracking for all product VOC captured.

  • Genie Builder Program: In partnership with Robotics Engineering, support the launch, growth and administration of the Genie Builder Program targeting application focused members to build on top of Genie equipment for robotic tasks at height.

  • New Market Introduction: Lead and coordinate the cross-functional management system for new market introduction for models and options.

  • TCO Roadmap: Support the quantification of TCO improvement activities and help manage a prioritized TCO improvement roadmap.

The role will also support go to market and demand generation activities and other various tasks as directed by the Director, Global Product Innovation & Technology.
This position may require travel up to 30% and will require work across global time zones.
What you'll do
  • Lead voice-of-customer (VOC) market research activities to collect information on products, markets, technology trends, quality and TCO trends, and other actionable information that can be leveraged for new product development, TCO and quality initiatives, and sales growth programs.

  • Lead total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives by collecting VOC from customers, proposing improvement projects, and managing deployment and communication to customers.

  • Lead the New Marketing Introduction (NMI) process and support product launch strategies and execution for new machines and parts programs.

  • Support Genie Builder Program initiatives, including launching new programs, coordinating with existing program members, identifying new opportunities, and providing general program support.

  • Support go-to-market initiatives for machines and parts programs.

  • Identify and evaluate new products, offerings and commercial strategies, according to the established NPD process.

  • Assist with developing marketing campaigns and sales programs that improve brand image and drive volume.

  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, projects, and strategies.

  • Ability to prioritize projects, considering customer impact versus available resources.

  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

What you'll bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in engineering or business, or 5+ years' relevant experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales within manufacturing and engineering environment.

  • Ability to analyze and guide sound business decisions based on research data and other input.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations.

  • Strong time management, project management, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in engineering or business, and 7+ years' relevant experience.

  • Significant experience in a similar role, having worked with sales.

  • Experience with TBS, training, planning, and financial analysis is a plus.

  • Comfortable demonstrating the complete line of Genie products working at full-extension heights.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $162,000 USD. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant's location. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
