Job description

Objective and Purpose: ย 

Theย objectiveย of this role is to lead and manage multipleย dentalย practice locations, ensuring operational efficiency, financial performance, and compliance with regulatory standards. The purpose is to build andย maintainย strong relationships with partner doctors and practice leaders, drive strategic growth initiatives, mentor and develop office managers and practice leaders, and champion change management efforts to achieve organizational goals.

The assigned territory includes CT, MA, NH, VT, ME, and Upstate/Western NY encompassing approximately 14 practices, 36+ providers, and $54.5 million in annual revenue.

ย Primary Responsibilities:ย 

  • Set and execute monthly travel plans to visit direct reports and engage with partner practices.ย 
  • Build strong relationships with partner doctors, practice leaders, and team members.ย 
  • Onboard new associates through regular communication, partnering with them, andย monitoringย their growth.ย 
  • Attendย weekly field visits, leading by example and engaging with the entire team.ย 
  • Identifyย focus areas: financials, human resources/recruitment, strategicย initiatives, revenue cycle management and payer relations, accounts payable, procurement, and marketing.ย 
  • Influence and implement change, standardizingย plansย and growth initiatives.ย 
  • Communicate organizational vision, strategic initiatives, and operational changes effectively to leadership and team members, ensuring understanding, alignment, and successful implementation across all assigned locations.ย 
  • Mentor and develop Office Managers/Practice Leaders, aligning IDP plans for growth opportunities.ย 
  • Conduct regular 1:1ย meetingsย with managers, build strong relationships with partner surgeons and associates, and provide tools with measurable goals.ย 
  • Identifyย growth opportunities for practices to grow organically, manage costs, and improve the bottom line.ย 
  • Engageย monthly MORs, develop SMART action plans, prepare detailed plans for hotspot practices, and measure results.ย 
  • Identifyย operational inefficiencies and best practices to drive organic growth.ย 
  • Manage compliance issues in partnership with the compliance team, VP of Operations, and Compliance department.ย 
  • Ensure regulatory requirements and company SOPs are met.ย 
  • Focus on employee retention, engagement, and champion companywide initiatives.ย 
  • Lead the coding initiative to ensure effective implementation of recommended coding changes.ย 
  • Align MBO goals around best practices and practice optimization initiatives.ย 
  • Maintainย strong communicationย withย VP of Operations to meet goals, standardize processes, and streamline communication with other department heads.ย 
  • Concur practice approvals and escalate to VP for final approval.ย 
  • Review all bonuses and increases with VP of Operationsย and follow the approval process.

Requirements:ย 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in dental or medical practices.ย 
  • Proven track record in managing multiple locations and teams.ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.ย 
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.ย 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ย
