In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.
Job Description
We are looking for a Inventory Specialist to join our Mayer Team in Douglasville, GA!
Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, performing cycle counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. Responsible for all warehouse transactions, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the branch or distribution center environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Must behave consistently with the Company's Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safety
  • Utilize both Radio Frequency (RF) hand-held devices and Warehouse Management System (WMS) dashboard screens to perform cycle counting, location maintenance, vendor returns, scrap, inventory processing, exception reports, and lost and found products
  • Research and reconcile any inventory discrepancies, receipt exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, or damaged material
  • Complete all inventory control tasks accurately and in timely manner per business requirements
  • Report any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment and the Distribution Center immediately to a Supervisor
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure we are maintaining a healthy inventory count
  • Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses
  • Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
  • Process paperwork regarding shipments including but not limited to verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct postage tape and label, following customer shipping instructions and, insuring the shipment when necessary
  • Prepare orders from the distribution center and ensure that the correct number and type of product is being shipped
  • Communicate with vendor buyers about any issues, concerns, or needed corrections to item inventory or products
  • Load common carrier and company vehicles as needed
  • May be required to perform other job functions within a branch when required including but not limited to counter sales, preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control or high-volume Warehouse or Distribution Center preferred
  • Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
  • High School or GED - Preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Excellent computer skills demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), automated order entry systems, and other internet-based tools
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
