What You’ll Do

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business, cultivating client relationships, and maximizing revenue opportunities for the hotel. You’ll work closely with operations and leadership teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences from initial inquiry through event execution.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new and repeat business to exceed revenue goals
  • Focus primarily on (but not limited to) the National and North Carolina Association markets
  • Build strong relationships through networking, outside sales calls, trade shows, and community involvement
  • Develop creative sales strategies based on market trends and hotel demand
  • Partner with hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain and grow key account relationships to increase market share
  • Represent the hotel professionally within the community and industry organizations
  • Participate in strategic sales planning, quarterly action plans, monthly one –on-ones, and budgeting initiatives

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is outgoing, driven, organized, and passionate about hospitality sales.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience in catering and/or rooms sales
  • Experience working with Association markets preferred
  • Proven ability to generate business and close sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales plans
  • Professional, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with Delphi.fdc, OnQ PMS, GRO, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Existing involvement with Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC) or similar industry organizations strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hospitality/sales experience preferred
